LBHEA Transitions to Nonprofit and Expands

We have some very exciting news to share with you. Since beginning in 2008, we have operated under a fiscal sponsor. We are now actively shifting to a freestanding organization.

In fact, the Alliance is now a nonprofit corporation in Oregon and is expected to receive 501c3 status shortly and be a fully independent organization.

And that’s not all. We are happy to announce that LBHEA is also expanding to serve Lincoln County! Our expansion is the natural result of the relationships we have built over time and a huge step forward for health equity in the tri-county region. And we have a new name to reflect our transformation. We are now the Linn Benton Lincoln Health Equity Alliance.

Our mission remains unchanged: We spark community connection and collaboration to create healthy communities through policy, systems, and environmental change.

And we will continue to operate as a people of color-led coalition committed to increasing ways for people to have opportunities to be their healthiest.
